In 2018, I conducted my Master's thesis research on the discourse of "No-Go Zones"—the alleged Sharia-controlled Muslim enclaves said to be in Europe and on their way to the US—through documentary film. 

To do this, I traveled to Paris for two weeks to investigate. After 100 miles of walking around the city with my camera, I saw no evidence of the claims.

To explain the persistence of the claims, I looked to literature on the spread of misinformation, conspiracy ideation, 9/11 rhetoric, and racial bias. This research culminated in a written thesis component, which can be read here, and a documentary film, which can be viewed below.
